Dana Bortel, LSW
I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Albright College, and my Master of Social Work Degree from Temple University. I have been a therapist for adolescents and young adults for 25 years. I enjoy working with this age group because I like to acknowledge their potential even when they cannot.
I utilize a bio/psycho/social model for growth and change. By evaluating the physical, emotional, and social environment, I seek to identify and help develop strength and growth areas while reducing stress and increasing coping skills. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a way for adolescents and young adults to acknowledge and change their negative/limiting thoughts and beliefs into empowering ones.
